Signature loves working with athletic facilities. Whether it’s a school gymnasium, a commercial fitness center, or a community rec building, we’re excited to work with people who share the same passion of providing communities a space for their fitness and athletic pursuits. But, some of our favorite projects have been customers looking to use our various flooring solutions for something a little outside our typical realm of basketball courts and weight rooms.
It turns out that the same qualities of durability, reliability, and ease of maintenance that make our flooring solutions perfect for athletic activity make it appealing for a variety of other uses as well. Here are some of our favorites.
At Cook’s Children Hospital in Hurst, Texas, our poured-urethane flooring, SignaFlor™, was used throughout the facility in its halls and common areas while doubling as a running track for rehabilitation. Selected for its durability and versatility, SignaFlor’s ability to exhibit bold and vibrant colors really brightens up the halls and creates a happy environment for children on their way to recovery.
RubberDeck SuperTile™, typically used as a weight room flooring, served as the surface for this rooftop terrace of downtown apartment building. Its weather-resistant material and aesthetic design appealed to the building owners who were looking for a solution that could hold up to long-term sun exposure and feel comfortable underfoot of their residents.
The cornerstone of our court solutions, SignaWood™ hardwood flooring is typically used in university and high school gymnasiums and basketball facilities. But, owing to the testament of its beauty, SignaWood was sought out by this residence as the flooring for an upstairs play area for the kids. They even put a hoop in the room to take full advantage of its properties!
